About me: I started out my career in social services, specifically in addictions. I really enjoyed helping individuals challenge their lives and move beyond their pain. I then became a stay at home mom to raise my three children. When it was time to re-enter the work force I knew I wanted to continue helping people, however I also wanted to explore my creative side.
Some of my hobbies while I was at home with my kids were scrapbooking and card making. I enjoyed working with different colours, patterns and textures. There was something fascinating about taking a blank piece of paper and changing it into something personal that came to life.
When I bought my first house, all the windows needed to have window treatments so naturally having them professionally done seemed like the right thing to do. Until I found out the price. There was no way I was going to let go of so much money, so I headed to the library and taught myself how to sew and create coverings for all my windows.
I have always loved watching all the home decorating shows, learning do-it-yourself projects and finding low budget ways to make a home beautiful. I enjoy thinking outside of the box. I have found that helping homeowners prepare their home to sell quickly and for more profit and improving a home for living is where I was meant to direct this passion.
